Turning a Love for Woodworking Into Conservation

My birdhouse company was born out of my lifelong passion for woodworking and my desire to create something meaningful that connects people with nature. With a background in industrial arts education and years of honing my skills in woodworking, I’ve always enjoyed crafting with precision and care. When I learned about the challenges bluebirds face in finding safe nesting spaces, I knew I could put my expertise to good use. That inspiration led me to design and build birdhouses specifically tailored to the needs of Eastern Bluebirds, combining my love for woodworking with a meaningful purpose.  Every birdhouse I create reflects my commitment to quality and my appreciation for the natural world. By focusing on thoughtful designs and durable construction, I aim to help others enjoy the beauty of bluebirds in their own backyards while contributing to their conservation. Starting Built for Bluebirds has allowed me to channel my skills into a project that not only brings joy to bird lovers but also supports wildlife. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m proud to share these handcrafted homes with those who share my passion for birds and the outdoors.
